Ensuring Compliance in Multi-Channel Marketing Campaigns
Project: Advertising Audits - Marketing Media Disclaimer Review
As part of my role in marketing compliance, I assisted key team members in reviewing multi-channel marketing materials, including direct mail (postcard sample below for reference), television ads, and online promotions, to ensure disclaimer language (highlighted in yellow on the postcard sample below for reference) met state-specific legal requirements.
Objective:
Loan and financial service advertisements must comply with varying state regulations regarding loan terms, approval conditions, and lender disclosures. My role was to help verify that all marketing materials, including TV spots, print advertising, and digital ads, included the correct legal disclaimers per each state, preventing potential compliance risks.
Process & Contribution:
Analyzing Ad Content: Reviewed marketing creatives to identify areas where disclosure text was required, ensuring that disclaimers were clear, visible, and state-compliant.
Collaborating with Regional Managers and Local Store Associates: Cross-checked materials with provided disclaimers from legal and regulatory teams to confirm the correct language was used based on location-specific requirements.
Quality Assurance: Provided feedback on language and formatting to the various channel marketing analysts, ensuring the disclaimer text was accurate, legible, and positioned appropriately across different media types.
